Have you heard? An update on Green Gables.

Have you heard that Green Gables is on Trip advisor? It is true; It is #21 out of 96 things to do in Melbourne, FL. Many exciting things have been happening at Green Gables, According to Marion Ambrose, the President of Green Gables Historical Review. She later stated, "All of us at Green Gables has been very, very busy. We recently had a Renaissance fair, a pet adoption event and just recently, an AC/DC tribute band called to shoot to thrill did a benefit concert for Green Gables on the property. All of our events followed CDC guidelines and people were very well spaced out. All were very successful, and people gave us great reviews. Right now, we are working. I'm preparing our budget and have handed in all of our year-end reports. We will be pressure cleaning and painting the outside of the house and beautifying the grounds working on the gardens, And are planning a beautification project for the entrance to Green Gables. Commissioner Curt Smith has been working alongside us to help us apply for grants. It has been a good friend to Green Gables! All of our pledged donations are due by February 14 and have been rolling in! We are very excited that the process concerning the matching special category Grant continues to move forward. We're asking everyone to contact the Florida legislators to ensure that they know about Green Gables and its importance to Melbourne and Brevard County, so they will vote to put the money in the budget to fund the grants. The final step is the governor has to approve it, so we're encouraging people to drop him a line requesting that he give us his full support as well. Our next big event will be a murder mystery. It will be a virtual experience, but people will be able to interact, ask questions, and submit their opinion on who the murderer is and the motive. There will be a prize for anyone who solves the mystery correctly. We still hold an open house every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM, and Green Gables can be rented for weddings, reunions, business meetings, lawn parties, teas, And other events. " I have visited the house at both Halloween and Christmas; if you haven't seen the house, it is something not to miss. There is magic about the house, and the house tells a story; I encourage you to visit and experience the magic of Green Gables for yourself. photos courtesy of Green Gables Historical Review.
