DIY- All natural Dog shampoo

If you are anything like me, your furbabies are part of the family. When you look and see all the harmful toxins entering their bloodstream, it will make your head spin. We want our furbabies to be clean and healthy, all while saving money. Here is a cost-effective and straightforward dog shampoo.

3/4 cup dry oatmeal

1/2 cup baking soda

1/2 tablespoon honey

1 1/2 cup filtered water

16oz glass jar

15 drops of tea tree oil (optional)

  1. 1. Put oatmeal into the food processor, and blend on high until you have a fine powder.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, add powdered oats, water, baking soda, and honey then mix well. You can add tea tree oil and mix well.

  3. Pour mixture into the jar.

To use:

1. Shake well.

2. Scoop some mixture out of the Mason jar.

3. Gently massage into the dog’s wet fur.

4. Let sit for a couple of minutes.

5. Rinse.

My dog Fisher and Sadie, both have super sensitive skin, and this shampoo works beautifully on both dogs. When storing, label, and place in the refrigerator and use it when needed.
